Reaper Man
Reaper Man is the stage name of Ryan Lee McDaniel, an independent American artist, producer, and songwriter based in the Nashville, Tennessee, area.**Born in Franklin, Tennessee, and raised around Columbia, McDaniel grew up skateboarding. His path into music started in the ninth grade, when he bought a $30 microphone from Best Buy, hooked it up to an old computer, and started recording under the name Kiddo. That eventually became Reaper Man, the sound and identity grew darker over time. His influences span a wide range, from the heaviness of Slipknot, Korn, and Metallica, to the swagger of Guns N' Roses, Lil Wayne, and Three 6 Mafia, a mix that shows up in his genre-blending sound. His song "Rollout Mission" is widely regarded by fans as his breakout track.A high school dropout, McDaniel built his career without a traditional path, and he's open about wanting to prove that success doesn't require a diploma. He's now based in the Nashville area, where he writes, produces, and releases his own music independently
